Nothing serious, just a mild medical thing that can easily be cleared up with anti-fungal medication. Umm, yeah, I somehow acquired a toenail fungus. I'll spare you the gross details because even I'm grossed out by myself. I don't know where I got it because I never take my shoes/socks off at the gym and walk around. I think I got it from my moccasin slippers that I wear without socks. I am throwing those out! My mom took pity on me and bought me a new pair of moccasins. I love my mom.
They took a blood sample which made me almost cry. The medication they are putting me on is processed in the liver and they need to make sure my liver can handle it. Good thing I gave up alcohol! I hate having blood drawn, it freaks me out and I have to look away otherwise I will pass out.
They weighed me before my appointment and the scale read a full 6 pounds more than what my scale says at home. Each scale is different, which is why I only use my home scale to track my weight loss. I figure that it was what I used to get my base reading on my weight and it should be the one I use to continue to weigh myself. But, man, seeing that number and having my doctor think I weigh that much is annoying. I immediately thought, "Your scale sucks," and continued on my way.
I'm still bummed about all the eating I did last night. I'm doing well today and have all my meals planned out, well it's just dinner and a couple pieces of fruit now. I've been considering my calorie limit that I've set per day. I kind of just picked a low-ish number of 1,500 calories a day and rolled with it. While it seems to be working out for me, I wanted to see what other calorie calculators thought I should be eating to lose 1 pound a week. I Googled "calorie needs calculator," selected 8 different sites and entered in my height, weight, age, sex, and set my activity level to low/light. Here's what they said I would need to eat to lose one pound a week by cutting out 500 calories a day:

Average: 1,755 calories a day to lose one pound a week, without exercise.
So, mathematically by eating 1,500-1,600 calories a day, I should be steadily losing weight, right? I am, and I will continue, as long as I don't have more nights like last night with all that peanut butter and chocolate. I know most of you would tell me to get rid of the peanut butter, but I have it on my morning whole wheat toast everyday. It's good for me and I like it. I have more control in the mornings, so I don't go PB crazy when I have it for breakfast.
I have a personal training appointment tomorrow morning at 10:00am. I'm nervous! I'm still battling a cold that is affecting my breathing a little bit and I don't know what she's going to make me do. I'll let you know how it goes! Wish me luck!
UPDATE:
Reheated the salmon and asparagus that I did not eat last night. So upset that I didn't enjoy it last night because, reheated, it was DELICIOUS. Honestly, I was in food Heaven! I'm sad I didn't get to enjoy it when it was freshly cooked. Oh well, still satisfying the next day. I can feel those omega-3s pumping through my body!
